JOAN BOSCH

Joan is a Catalan filmmaker based in Barcelona and New York, where he moved to develop his first feature-length screenplay thanks to a Fulbright fellowship.

He has directed ads for brands like Netflix, Samsung, Canon, Airbnb, and Hyundai. He has also worked for international clients such as UMG, Sony Music, and VICE. His work has been shortlisted at YDA (Cannes), La Jolla (California), El Ojo (Buenos Aires), Shiny (London) and Camerimage (Poland), and has been featured in numerous publications including Director’s Library, Director’s Notes, Booooooom.tv, LBB, and Film Shortage. He has received a Vimeo Staff Pick and has been recognized with the Best Young Director Award at El Ojo de Iberoamérica 2020.

Joan’s work focuses on the search for beauty in the mundane, while he keeps looking for the union between aesthetics and reality in the same shot.
