TANSY TAYLOR

Tansy Taylor is a self-taught music video director whose infallible sense of style is all about taking creative risks, challenging boundaries, and defying stereotypes.

Despite being just 23 she has directed over 30 music videos since attaining her law degree and has a passion for showcasing young and diverse talent in spaces that are usually white dominated.

Tansy’s natural talent for direction and resourcefulness has resulted in an impressive portfolio of high-quality music videos and a respected reputation in the urban music scene due to her glossy creative vision style and production value of her films, which are a world away from the grimy aesthetic typical of underground UK music promos.

However, Tansy also loves shooting on 16mm film, as seen in the visuals she directed for the more alternative sounds of her usual rapper clients, such as "Mama" by Apollo on the Run and Liv Cartier’s "Falling Asleep".

For all the music videos Tansy has made, she has not only directed and produced them all on shoestring budgets, but also devised and developed each idea.
